Trust have provided free beds, cabins and equipment to hospitals and medical organizations. An air conditioned, fully equipped life care Ambulance was provided to Nagarik Swasthya Sangh which was inaugurated by then H.E.Justice Shri Shyamal Kumar Sen,the Governor of West Bengal at Raj Bhawan. Two Ambulances were donated on different occasions to the Governor of West Bengal at Raj Bhawan for the benefit of the people around Raj Bhawan, High Court and Writer’s Building. Trust has donated a plot of land of 24  bighas to Bharat Sevashram Sangh  at Ghatshila for constructing a Hospital. Every year many camps are being organized for free eye operations (IOL) and free spectacles distribution. These are sponsored by  Mamraj  Agarwal Foundation through AIIMS Delhi, Lions Hospital,  Ramkrishna Mission and other social organizations to remove the blindness of poor and needy people.

In the year 2009 a felicitation ceremony was held by Mamraj Agarwal Foundation at Rastrapati Bhawan and H.E.Smt.Pratibha Devisingh Patil, President of India presented “Rashtriya Gyanodayam Samman” to Justice Sri Shyamal Kumar Sen & Justice Anshuman Singh. Similarly “ Rashtriya  Sevaratna Samman “was awarded to Smt. Sharda Fatehpuria & Smt. Alka Bangur.

The main person behind all these activities is our founder President of Foundation & Trust  Shri Mamraj Agarwala. He has primarily devoted himself  in the service of humanity. He also received  the “International Michael Madhusudan Award” for social work by  Justice Shri Shyamal Kumar Sen, Hon’ble Chief  Justice of Allahabad High Court at Great Eastern Hotel, Kolkata on 30-11-2002. He was honoured with the “ AGRA- GOURAV” Samman by  All India Agarwal Sammelan, New Delhi for the excellent work in the  field  of  education  on 27-07-2006.  He was also  honoured  with  “ Agarwal Samman” by Agrasain Smriti Bhawan,Kolkata on 14-10-2007.He received “Uttam Kumar Life Time Achivement Award” for social work on 19-12-2007 at Kolkata. A Figaro chain is a chain that is designed with several small round links interspersed with one long oval link. This style of chain originated in Italy, andFigaro chains are frequently used for men’s jewelry. Mariner chains are similar to Figaro chains, but they alternate a single, small, round link with a larger oval link. They resemble the chains attached to an anchor on boats, hence its name. This style of chain is popular for id bracelets, any jewelry with nautical themes, and unisex style jewelry. Rope chains are chains where small links are manipulated to avoid calling attention to their appearance; instead, they are linked in a twisted pattern to resemble a genuine rope. Rope chains come in both delicate versions where they are a popular choice for pendant necklaces, and heavier versions where the chain itself is the main attraction. Snake chainsare made up of rings which fit together closely, making a chain with an appearance of a flexible tube with the texture of snakeskin. Snake chains are usually narrow and delicate.Box chains have squared off links rather than rounded links, giving the chain a boxy appearance. Thinner versions of box chains are popular for women’s jewelry and often paired up with pendants. Link chains are made with individual links of the same shape with an open middle section, interlocking in alternating directions, so the shape of the link stands out. Common link shapes are round links or oval links, and link chains can be delicate or heavier depending upon your taste.Fancy chains are chains with unique link patterns that do not fit any of the above descriptions. Kolkata 23rd July 2013: Spondylosis is a degenerative osteoarthritis of the joints between the center of the spinal vertebrae  or neural foraminae. Today at George College Sealdha .An interactive session and public awareness programme with Hospital Management Students on Spondylosis.

The Topics were: What is spondylosis?  How to detect it? How to prevent it? How to prevent it? What Treatments are vilable?  Choice of Surgical Technique?

Dr. Nikhilesh Das is an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon. He is presently working as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Kolkata, at Peerless Hospital & B.K. Research Centre.

He has completed M.B.B.S.  From S.C.B. Medical College, Cuttack in 1998 and M.S. (Orthopedics) in 2005 from the same institution.  He had successfully completed M.Ch. (Orth.) from University Of Seychelles American Institute Of Medicine in 2012 and was the Gold Medalist in the same.After undergoing extensive training in Atrthroplasty, Arthroscopy and Trauma Care in national and international institutions for a period of three years he joined Peerless Hospital & B. K.Roy Research Centre, Kolkata as a Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon in 2008. He has worked as a Medical officer with Medicines Sans Frontiers of Holland and also at a Primary health centre in the interiors of Orissa. At present he sees over ten thousand patients in OPD and performs surgeries on more than 500 patients per year.

About Spondylosis

Spondylosis is a wearing down or degeneration of the spine caused by wear and tear on the joints. Deterioration most frequently involves the cartilage and bones in either the cervical spine (joints of the neck), sometimes referred to as cervical spondylosis, or the lumbar spine, sometimes referred to as lumbar degenerative disc disease. Spondylosis can also affect the middle section of the spine, called the thoracic spine.
